We are delighted to present
Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward.
This classic play tells the story of Charles Condomine and his second wife, Ruth, who rue the day they dabbled with the ‘other side’ via the eccentric Madame Arcarti.
What started out as a bit of fun isn’t quite so funny when the spirit of Elvira, Charles’ deceased first wife, appears intent on causing mischief!
Community theatre for Wrexham and Chester
We have performed many different types of plays including, drama, mystery, whodunnit’s and comedy. Our performances are very well supported by our audience and we normally run each play for three evenings.
Tickets sell fast for each of our plays and the feedback we receive is very gratifying. We have a regular audience who come to see every production but also new people discover us each time we perform. Our plays are suitable for a family audience so anyone is welcome.
About Darland
A bit more about the community theatre society.
We are a non-profit organisation so any funds raised through tickets sales goes back into the coffers of the theatre group to pay for equipment and set builds etc. We also regularly donate to the Darland School funds and other local charities and organisations.
Get involved
We are always looking for new members.
If you’re interested in amateur, community theatre or you’ve every fancied having a go at acting then we’d love to hear from you. We are not expecting Oscar-worthy talent, just an enthusiasm and a willingness to have a go. Younger members (ideally 18+) would be very welcome as it would allow us to perform a more varied selection of plays.

We were thrilled to be part of the Festival of One Act Plays in Spring 2018 and Spring 2019 in the Emlyn Williams Theatre, Theatre Clwyd. It was very exciting for us to see a little into the world of professional theatre, long may it continue!
