We hope you enjoyed our moving Autumn short play ‘The Act of Living’ by Robert Scott plus the sketches and monologues that together comprised our ‘Tears and Laughter’ production. We’re now really excited to be returning to staging a full length drama, again written by Robert Scott, the excellent ‘Death’s Desire’. We’re also delighted that Robert is travelling from his home in Derbyshire to join us for one of our performances!
We hope you too will be able to join us 5th, 6th and 7th April – tickets are available now from our website here, still just £6 including refreshments.
We’re always keen to welcome new members so if you’d like to get involved please do get in touch. We’d love your help this Spring and if you get the bug, perhaps your friends and family will see you on stage later in 2018!
Seats are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis so early booking and payment (very early for Friday seats) ensures that your whole party can sit together and you’ll get the best view. We do try to take account of hearing and vision requirements but regret that once we’re filling the 4th row on your preferred evening, this will probably not be possible.
You can reserve tickets now – reply to this email or ‘phone Jan on 01978 855770 – however please note that we will need to receive full payment within 7 calendar days of your reservation; either by online payment, or sending a cheque (made out to Darland Community Theatre) with your email address / ‘phone number to The Treasurer at the below address or by arranging a face to face cash/cheque payment with Jan or any Darland Theatre member that you know.
In addition, for the first time in over 20 years, we’re taking part in the CCTA Festival of One Act Plays in Theatre Clwyd, reprising the much loved ‘A Dog’s Life’ by Pam Valentine on Friday 9th March and do hope you’ll be able to join the audience there. If you are able to, please retain your used/torn tickets (at £7/8/10 each via the above Clwyd Theatre link) for exchange during ‘Death’s Desire’ for an additional complimentary drink.
