Tonight sees the first of what we hope will become a regular feature. A workshop to introduce newcomers to the world of amateur theatre in all its guises. Tonight will concentrate on acting and voice projection but with a nod towards the technical side by linking up to the sound system used for our productions.
Most of the Darland Theatre stalwarts will be there as well as those who have said they will be coming along for the first time. The evening will be ably run by Ade Garrett who has many years of experience as both actor and director.
Ade directed a previous Darland production, Pack of Lies, and recently trod the boards with us as Mary in Third Week in August.
Ade is also a long time member of Grove Park Theatre where she recently starred in Duets and will be part of the cast for the pantomime later this year.
Here’s to a great evening of fun but with the opportunity to brush up on skills and learn something new. I’ll let you know how it goes!
